Mine came almost solid black (the picture they use doesnt do it justice, mine looks very nice). Theres a note in a box about this being from a small company, theyre very strict with "if it doesnt sound right, we will get you another one", hopefully no one takes advantage of that.It looks very nice, sounds like intended and says its made by a small business. I would recommend buying this if youre in the market for the death whistle, mine is very nice.Happy with my purchase.

HOLY is this awesome. It feels, it sounds, it looks like an artifact, something a certain Dr. Jones would have found and used on one of his journeys though Aztlan. It got delivered to my workplace during the workday, and of course I had to try it out in my office. Needless to say, I spooked everyone out, and now have a visit with HR later this afternoon. In all seriousness, I was not expecting much, but it blew me away and everyone thinks it is the coolest thing.
